Fall trends for girls by Janie and Jack / Fall 2020

This week is the last warm days of summer here on our side of the world. Starting next week, the temperature will dip significantly. As I was checking the weather report for the next sixteen days early this morning, I knew that I will have to spend the weekend sorting out our fall outfits.

Although we still haven´t enjoyed enough of the summer yet, I have come to accept that we do have a very short summer. Thankfully, I love mixing and matching fall outfits. This is the season when I feel the most creative. So, I`ll be covering many creative fall trends and looks for young fashionistas here on my blog – both for girls, boys, and babies.

Let´s start with the gorgeous fall trends for girls. Now, these outfits are for girls but all the pieces featured here are available in sizes for babies, little girls, and big girls. Sizes available are from 3 months to 12 years old.

Note: Bear in mind that some of the links in this post are affiliate links and if you go through them to make a purchase I will earn a commission. Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you.

Here are some of the most gorgeous fall trends for girls curated by the brand, Janie and Jack. If you want to see more fall looks and bet the first to access the new arrivals, make sure to check out the Janue and Jack fall collection.

1. The Equestrian Look for Girls

The Equestrian Look for Girls
Jacket / Pants / Hat / Boots

This is such a cute rider look. All that´s missing is the horse. But whether or not your girl has a horse, a fabulous equestrian look featuring a ponte blazer in the shade of berry, matched with a pair of tan riding pants and riding pants, will always be a glorious addition to her fall wardrobe.

Style up the look with a smart necktie and a hat.

2. The Explorer fall outfit for girls

Cape / Pants / Boots

I`m a huge lover of capes so when I saw this outfit featured on the homepage of Janie and Jack, I knew this is going to be a must. This merchant marine plaid has navy blue as the dominant color, so partner it with pants in exactly the same color. Thankfully the coveted riding pants are also available in mechant marine shade.

Layer the cape with a white long sleeve top or sweater, and finish the look with the brown riding boots.

3. The Florist fall trend for Girls

Dress / Cardigan / Shoes / Headband

The dress has a horse scarf print, not a floral print, but after layering it with a cute, yellow cardigan, the result is very girly. So for a change, why not opt for a one-of-kind printed dress this fall? Go matchy matchy for her flat shoes and headband.

4. The Houndstooth for fall

Dress / Socks / Booties

Another most adored print for fall is houndstooth. Every girl and every woman should really own a houndstooth dress, it´s very sophisticated. So for your girl, choose this brown and ivory houndstooth piece which is a nod to earthy, natural tones. Polish up the look with a pair of brown, leather booties and white socks.

5. The Dressy Barn Look for Girls

Dress / Jacket / Headband / Flats

Because fall is notorious for fluctuating weather, sometimes four seasons in a day, you got to be ready whenever the wind blows from hot to cold. Layer her white printed dress with this quilted peplum barn jacket. If she takes off the jacket, she´ll don the fabulous ruffle sleeves of her dress. But with the jacket it, she´ll look sophisticated in the peplum silhouette of outder layer.

6. The Pastoralist Fall Outfit for Girls

Sweater / Top / Shorts / Headband / Boots

How can your girl wear shorts in fall? By layering.

Layer a cable knit sweater with a floral dot top. Now remember, this layering is a play of beautiful sleeves. The three quarter sleeves of her top with dainty ruffle cuffs will peek nicely under the layer of the half-sleeve sweater.

Depending on the weather, your girl can wear the shorts as is, or layered with tights and finished up with a pair of riding boots.

So these are the six fall trends for babies, little girls and big girls. Let me know which look do you find most stunning.
