Are these photos familiar? Did you ever steal your mom´s shoes when you were a kid and ramped like a grown up? Or did you ever catch your little girl doing the same?
I couldn´t help but smile widely upon seeing these photos of Heather. Her excitement for trying on her mom´s shoes and that look on her face as she strutted them across the room. Now, that´s marvelous.
Another reason why I´m still smiling is that she brought back memories from my childhood, during the time when I was doing exactly the same thing – stealing my mom´s high heels.
But while Heather´s adventure seemed encouraged, mine was a tip-toe game. I´d sneak into my parents´room when I knew they weren´t around, I´d open my mom´s closet and take her very high heels shoes, I imagine about four inches high, slipped on them, ramp back and forth with my hands waving as if doing a beauty contest. For how many times, I hurt my ankles. I was four.
In retrospect, I had no idea those attempts I did on my mom´s shoes was a sign I´d be crazy on shoes when I grow up, and that I´d love fashion so much. Now I basically know what to expect of Heather once she turns a lady.
I just hope she will know how to work well so she can spend for her own fashion whims when she grows up. Until now she has this shoe fetish. Let’s see after 5 more years though.
haha, I´m sure she will. The only way to get the stuff we fancy is by working for it. you got one more duty to do though, Rhea, to guide her on her spending habit. You don´t want her to be a shopaholic, would you? I was one. 🙂
