Leopard print isn´t really going anywhere, is it? The most sophisticated of all animal prints, we mamas aren´t the only ones deserving to rock this ever trendy print. Our girls deserve them too! And they will surely love it especially if it´s as beautiful as the dresses that Dolce & Gabbana created for baby, little and big girls for spring 2019.
- How to Wear Animal Print (Style Guide for Women)
This time though, the wild print is tempered with oversized red rose blooms and green leaves. I love the beauty that mixing leopard print and red roses created. It´s an elegant nod to spring and summer when our gradens are bursting with bright colored blooms.
One dress from the collection is accented with eye-grabbing D&G patchwork. Of course, if you´re paying hundreds of dollars or euros for a dress that your child is only going to wear for a few months or a year, people may as well know the brand, right?
Personally, I´m not a fan of making my child or myself a free walking billboard for some brands. But since the D&G Patchwork is done with taste here, I´ll give it a pass.
Also, if brand patchwork on a cloth is also not your thing, there are other items in the collection that are D&G patchwork free. You may prefer those.

Alright, here are the dresses that made me gasp in awe when I first saw them. They are so beautiful I want to wear the same leopard and rose print too!
1. The Leopard and Rose Print Box Pleated Dress

This dress comes first in line because I adore its style – round neckline, short sleeves, box pleated waist and A-line silhouette. This is the style of dress that I enjoyed wearing as a child. I find the silhouette simple which juxtaposes the bold mix print.
It´s available in 4-6 and 8-12. So if you have two girls in different ages, they can difinitely do twinning.
2. Tiered and Ruffled Dress

Looking at this tiered, ruffle hem in beautiful print reminds me of the many beautiful memories I had as a child, especially memories about my maternal grandma. Although my family wasn´t well-off, I had many beautiful dresses that I wore to school (and the special ones to church) because of my Lola. She gave me those dresses.
If I had a daughter right now, I would definitely buy this dress for her. But I don´t have a daughter so I instead channel my love for these lovely frocks through this post.
This Dolce & Gabbana leopard and rose print dress is also available in sizes 2-6 and 8-12.
3. The Leopard and Rose Print Tiered Dress with Matching Bloomers

This is the same dress is #2 I believe, but it comes with a matching bloomer. The bloomer is fantastic and it keeps your girl´s privacy intact in a wild and floral way.
This dress, however, is only available in size 12-30 Months. But then again, in this age and time, are there still big girls who would wear bloomers?
4. Smocked Leopard & Roses Spaghetti-Strap Dress

I don´t remember having this style of dress as a child. But I do remember admiring them on other kids. I think I had an impression that this style of dress suits the girls with well-off parents. But really, the reason why I didn´t have an elasticized spaghetti strapped dress with smocked upper ruffled trim was that I was too thin as a child. I woud look malnourished in it.
I can see my (imaginary) daughter wearing a bob haircut, bangs, this dress, and some black sandals or ballerinas in summer. So cute!
5. Leopard & Rose Print One-Piece Swimsuit

I never enjoyed going to swimming pools not until I became a mom. You see, I grew up in the Philippines. We were surrounded with virgin beaches, rivers and lagoons. My family often spent our weekends going to the beach.
Here in Germany we don´t have beaches. My son, who´s already almost 3 years old, has never been to a beach yet. That means he´s only been to swimming pools. Oh dear, how he loves the pool! So yeah, mommy is in a swimsuit and my son in swimming trunks, off we go to swimming pools when the weather calls for it.
But if I also have a daughter, I´d certainly love to have her wear this stunning one piece swimsuit from D&G. It´s available in size 6-30 Months.
6. Leopard & Rose Print Mixed Material Dress w/ Bloomers

This dress is my least favorite piece from the collection. I don´t know, I feel like the transition from white to dark wild print is too sharp. Too sudden. The bottom half is too heavy for the light, simple top. But hey, I can only really judge the dress once I see it on a child. Sometimes photos don´t give a dress justice.
What do you think of this dress? Do you love it?
Wanna Wear It as a Mommy-Baby Matching?
Whenever I see mommies wearing a matching outfit with their daughter, it warms my heart. I love twinning so much that even if my child is a boy, I do matching outfits with him too.
If your daughter is wearing one of the leopard and rose print D&G pieces, would you want to match her outfit too? Here are some twinning options for you, mommy!

I really, really love this top. It´s so figure flattering, chic and polished. Of course it calls for a well-trimmed figure. But if you´re already on the way to losing your pregnancy weight, or if you´ve already successfully got back your pre-pregnancy figure, then there´s no reason not to rock this top.
Pencil skirt knee-length skirt is great to partner with the top. But it´s so flexible you´ll find it looking great with just anything you have in your closet.

It´s not only the print that´s going to make the talking, it´s also the silhouette. This is the bodycon done right. It´s already revealing on top and figure hugging so we´d like to keep the legs covered. I love it.

This dress is dangerous for mommies to wear as is, especially if you have a toddler. You don´t want to make any accidental flashes! The solution? Wear with black tights.

I´d love to wear this with a black cardigan or a jacket. I think it´s very chic. It will also easily transition from summer to fall, even winter.
Affordable Alternatives
I found a few very affordable alternatives to the above leopard and rose print pieces. They´re worth a look if you´re not into splurging on designer pieces but still want to have to coveted wild print for the warmer seasons.

This is the closest copy I could find in the internet. For $25, I think it´s fabulous. It features tropical leopard and flowers print around the collar and the bottom skirt.

Created with similar idea in mind, this sundress features hibiscus & animal print. For $29.99 it´s a steal. Unfortunately, it also sold like hotcake. It´s currently only available in size 5.

I find this drop waist cheetah dress for toddlers really cute. This mix material isn´t painful to the eyes since the wild and floral print of the skirt is tempered with white.
So tell me mommy, what to you think of Dolce & Gabbana´s leopard and rose print collection for spring and summer?
